When asked do you like Asians?

Steve Harvey replied with:
"No, I don't even like Chinese food, I don't eat what I can't pronounce"


Because of his ethnicity and race, when he tried to make a comedic joke about Chinese food being hard to pronounce, the pressure completely flipped onto him. He eventually made an apology on twitter after the community lashed out at him. The lesson of The Dog Restaurant shines again, if an Asian were to say this joke, I'm more than confident that the consequence with be very miniscule or even non-existent.

My Culture is Not Your Goddamn Prom Dress

When a girl, Keziah Daum, went to her senior year prom wearing a Chinese dress to her prom, she was attacked and bullied via social media. I am 100% certain that if the person wearing the dress was from any Asian descent, this would've never gone viral. Esther Ku's Comedic Barrage

Everything in the article is offensive against asian-americans, and yet honestly not many people bat an eye or care. One of her tweets saying "I'm racist against whatever breed my parents are." fully summarizes the purpose of this blog. The community that you are associated with is much more punishing when you make a racial joke about that community; however, if your race differs, it has a larger capability of offending people.
