My Culture is Not Your Goddamn Prom Dress

When a girl, Keziah Daum, went to her senior year prom wearing a Chinese dress to her prom, she was attacked and bullied via social media. I am 100% certain that if the person wearing the dress was from any Asian descent, this would've never gone viral. Everything in the article is offensive against asian-americans, and yet honestly not many people bat an eye or care. One of her tweets saying "I'm racist against whatever breed my parents are." fully summarizes the purpose of this blog. The community that you are associated with is much more punishing when you make a racial joke about that community; however, if your race differs, it has a larger capability of offending people.
